Hello darlings,
when we first started making plans for our house I only had one big wish. Well ok I had more than one wish but that one was a really big one! I wanted a big bathroom with a sunken bathtub in the middle, a shower and lot's of space. Well short of making our house without a bedroom what I did get was a larg-ish shower and just enough room to go in and out.
If you are luckier than me in this matter you need to make your bathroom a room that you absolutely adore spending time in. We have to use this room every day, whether we’re brushing our teeth or taking a long hot bath to release the stresses of the day. If you want some ideas for an incredible bathroom read on for these decor tips.
Look At Sunken Bathtubs
If you’ve never seen a sunken bathtub before, you’re really missing out! These tubs look absolutely amazing, and will make you feel as if you’re stepping into a spa pool, or something equally as lavish. You can make it look modern, spa-like, or even surround it with stone to create a magical looking bathing space! That is of course if you have the space in your house. We really needed a place to sleep so...
Including A TV or Screen
If you’re the kind of person who loves to watch TV and things in the bath, then there are a few different ways you can do this without putting your tablet or laptop at risk. You’d need to make space in a wall in your bathroom, and then make sure that the TV is properly protected by waterproof glass and other materials. This isn’t exactly a DIY job, but it’s definitely worth it if you love a good, relaxing soak.
Consider A Wet Room
A wet room is perfect for those who want to be able to shower and clean up with minimal fuss. Not only does a wet room look great, it’s perfect for those who want a seamless experience in the bathroom. No stepping in and out of the tub, as the whole room is waterproof. Of course, this means it’s also super easy to clean, too. However, if you’re planning on doing this you’re going to need to make sure you get a reliable company to help - the room must be able to drain water effectively, or you could experience many problems in your home.
Double Up On Your Vanity Area
Doubling up on your vanity area means you and your partner will no longer need to argue about who’s using the bathroom first. You can brush your teeth, wash up, and prepare for the day ahead at the same time.
Give It A Bold Splash Of Color
An all white bathroom looks great, but how about making a statement with a bold splash of color too? All white walls, a white bath tub, and a white floor looks clean and spacious. Consider adding a bold shower curtain to spice things up!
Use Unifying Bottles And Jars
There’s nothing worse than having tons of little lotions and potions that make the place look messy. You don’t have to get rid of your product. Simply put them in glass bottles and jars that match to instantly unify your space and give it an element of luxury.
Incorporate A Huge Mirror For Small Bathrooms
A huge mirror in your bathroom will instantly make it look larger. After all, it’s usually the smallest room in the home. It is in mine! You can also have a glass shower screen, rather than a curtain, to make the space look even bigger. The qualified tradesman at Liverpool Glass recommend buying a high quality screen, and getting a pro to fit it for you.
Add Some Pebbles For The Ultimate Spa Experience
Pebbles will make you feel like you’re indulging in the ultimate spa experience, whether they’re real or fake. You can even buy pebble bath mats to get the same effect!
How about you? Did you get the bathroom of your dreams or one like mine?
Lot's of love
